My 6 year old was playing with her wii and threw the remote at the TV screen. The protective plexi glass screen was cracked. It does not appear to have damaged the picture screen. Where can I order a new plastic screen cover.Suggestions???

The plexi glass if a "special formulation" and costs around $350 if available!. I would go to some repair shops and see if they have old junker sets (city dump) that you can get the screen and if you have to cut it to size.. Cheap fix... please rate!
it is not tecomended that you remove this especally around children. i say this but i personally have one like that but i have no children. the other reson is the screens are easy damaged and they are 250 to replace. You can get another front plexi these are known as the supersheild. or if you can find the right size plexi glass it might find another option. It can be watched but like i said it will just lead to more problems without plexi
There are trim pieces around the edges that can be removed by sliding a
knife underneath and lightly prying. They should remove fairly easily,
don't force them as they may break. Use the knife on the cabinet side
and pry toward the center of the screen.
The tear on the inner screen may be best left as is.
lexan would be better than plexi as it is tougher, but try to get
anti-glare if possible. Anti-glare plexi would be better than regular
Usualy Panasonic have 3 layers on the screen. From inside to outside is: fresnel, lenticular and protective. If only the one from outside is broken don't wory. It;s just protective and the film it's just a filter to improve the black level. You can use it like that but be carrefull because the lenticular it's not protected anymore and if you scrach it ... And do not try to clean it with anything else just dry rag.
my son cracked our screen protector and instead of paying two or three hundred dollars to replace it we had plexy glass cut at Lowes and put velcro striping around the edges and looked as good as the original and has held up great for five years now.
