What new one? The phone or the screen? If new phone then reinstall the firmware and your password will be overwritten. And do not use another one. If a new screen (lcd) then fix it and the reinstall the firmware. That is the only solution for lost/forgotten passwords, new screen or not. AND do not use is password in future.
umm.. i'm not sure whether you would be able to do that... if there is a orange logo on the front.. then i guess not.. because the phone is made especially for orange.. if not.. try contacting the shop you bought the phone and ask them.. they should be able to tell you what to do from there.. if not.. try contacting orange.. o.O but i suppose it depends on what plan your on.. contract or pay as you go?? if pay as you go.. you should be able to just buy a new sim and put it straight in.. without all the commotion
IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE TAKING APART YOUR PHONE...DONT! Take it to someone that is. Remember, if you have insurance on your phone, they will not replace it if it has a cracked screen, they will replace it if it is lost.

This could be an connection problem of your matrix screen.
When you open the phone you will see a flatcable with a litte flat cable connected on that cable it could be that the little one isn't fitted well the flat cable is from your LCD screen and the Little flat cable that is fitted on that Flat cable is from the matrix screen (Touch screen).
yea mate I broke my screen a few months ago. So I bought a new screen from ebay (about $70 AUS inc P&H) opened up my viewty and replaced it. All parts in the phone snap in together no soldering required. The screen connects through a simple snap in ribbon cable. Only tricky part is that adhesive strip that holds the front cover in other than that the phone should come apart with some light prying.
The Viewty can (as far as I have been able to find out) only work with up to 2Gb memory - But!!! If you stick the 4Gb card in a card reader / USB adapter and upload enough stuff to it so that there's 2Gb or LESS free space left on the card you can then use it in the Viewty.
The phone can then tell deal with the amount of free space as well as being able to access the stuff you uploaded :)
