Pandigital dpf70-1 not recognized device in XP sp2

The manual says win xp should auto recognize the device as a mass storage but does not. Is there a driver I need to install?

Bought the Pandigital 7" frame approx. 4 months ago- yesterday the screen went totally white. Called support and got told that the LCD screen is bad and only warranteed 90 days, so sorry you are out of luck. STAY AWAY from this product, there is no way it should have failed so soon and moreover how about some support??? The item is not cheap, I'll never buy another

SOURCE: Phillips Photo Frame does not recognize SanDisk 1 BG SD card

I used a format program from http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/eula/
Nether Sandisk nor Phillips tells you the card needs to be formatted FIRST if it is
new and out of the package. It works fine now.......... in the Phillips Photo Frame model 8FF2FPB

If you do not format it first - your PC software WILL NOT even know it is inserted into your device!!

I need no further help on this
Thanks

It sounds like the BIOS is set to auto-boot from the USB device.
Have you reset the 'boot order' in the BIOS?

Also if you are still running sp2 go to Microsoft update and install the updates. You should be running on service pack 3.
(the updates are free, and are more secure than sp2)

Try to find application that load the CPU at 100% by seeing TASKMANAGER.

To start TASKMANAGER press CTRL+ALT+DEL on the keyboard, select PROCESSES TAB, click on CPU to order by CPU load and find process that come near to 100%.

Inability to recognize Kingston pendrive in windows98

Windows 98 is not capable of recornizing the mass storage devices, but windows 2000 and XP, vista has the capability to automatically recognize the USB mass storage devices.

Thats why your Windows 98 is not recognizing. So, to use the mass-storage device like your pen drive you have to install device driver to your windows 98 system for your pendrive.

If you don't have the driver, then goto pendrive manufacturer site, there you can found the driver for your pen-drive for windows 98, download it, and install on your windows 98 system..... n njoy,,... :))

Win XP sp2 not recognizing gr-d70

I had a similar issue. I had never been able to download video to computer because the computer never recognized the camera. As a last resort, I bought a new firewire cord today -- and my computer recognized the camera as soon as I turned the camera to play! It was four years in the making (I thought there was something wrong with my camera this entire time!), but it was just a cord issue. Now the cord that came with the camera is in the trash, and I can download video. I did buy an (XP) driver for I think $8 online, but I'm not sure whether that really had anything to do with it (I have SP3). I bought it from www.helpdrivers.com, and it was called the JVC / GR-D70U USB Mass Storage Class Driver + G.726 Decoder / Windows 98-98Se-Me-2000-XP, Item# 3021598. Downloaded it from the site. Hope that helps!

Usb problem

With the device connected, check the Device Manager for errors (red or yellow) on Mass Storage Device and update the drivers on them.

FYI - you need to have Windows XP / SP2 and Windows Media Player 10 or higher for the device to connect to the PC.

Best of Luck.
