Where do you have it set. The normal settings would be...Freezer should be -5 to +5 degrees and Fresh food compartment 38F to 42F. It's not unusual for modern R134A refrigerant refrigerators to run much more than their older R12 counterparts.

It keeps going through a start up process (clicking and the fan come on then off quickly) at first staying steady then getting longer in the start up process.

Hi David, thank you for your inquiry. I understand that your Frigidaire Refrigerator is cycling on and off more than you expected. Todays newer refrigerator's have to meet Dept of Energy (DOE) specifications for energy savings. Typically the fan and compressor runs to get the fresh food temp down to 34*, the compressor shuts off and the fan runs for thirty more minutes and shuts down. The fan will repeatedly cycle on and off to keep the temp down as close to 34*. Once the temp in the fresh food hits 40* for more than two minutes the compressor cycles back on again. This will cause the temps in the fresh food to dwell between 35-40 and in the freezer section between 8-15. Hope this helps! -JK

My frigidaire is not cooling. my fans run and my compressor tries to start every couple of minutes and runs for 5 to 10 seconds. keeps repeating this

That could be an overload unit is fault due to fatigue or the relay that need to change from start winding to run winding is fault.if not the compressor is short cycling due to less refegrant gas in the systerm.Find a leak and regas after sealing it

Possible blockage causing compressor to shut off, or compressor on it's way out. Check the fan is running full speed when the compressor starts

My frigde is beeping consecutively and wont stop and the temperature wont show it just doesnt work ever since the electricity flickered this morning like five times

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
Unplug it and wait 20 - 30 minutes. The compresor needs 10 to 15 minuts of off time to re-start. Power losses of less than 5 minutes will cause the compressor thermal overload to cycle repeatedly until something fails or in the case of non-electronic control defrost timers... the next defrost cycle. What happens is the coolant pressures are so high that the compressor can not start. Let it stabilize for 20 - 30 minutes by unplugging it and try it again. If that does NOT work respond here and we will help you.

This is what caused your problem: ever since the electricity flickered this morning like five times

"3639534711 kenmore side by side

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly. I think all you have done is cause what we call a high side thermal overload condition. Unplug the unit for about 20 minutes then plug it back in. What has happened is that the coolant pressure is very high at the moment. The compressor WILL NOT restart with a high coolant pressure. All you will hear is the compressor attempt to start about every 5 minutes give or take 1 minute. Due to the high coolant pressures the compressor rotor is locked by the high pressure and will not rotate. All you need to do is let it stabilize for about 20 minutes and it should work fine again.
If after you unplug it for 20 minutes and restart it the compressor still does not run just respond here and I will help you.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Comperssor kicks on but quickly cuts off intermittently every 5 minutes on my frigidaire fridge side by side

Freezer defrosted everything fan continues to run but will not freeze. Compressor is cycling enough to keep refigerator section cold. 106 Series Kenmore. Turned up thermostat to keep fridge cold and a shorter intermittent compressor cycle run

Samsung Ac compressor stops after 20 minutes and fan keep running. Again after 10-15 minutes if ac is restarted the cooling happens for 20 minutes and compressor stops.

eventually, cycling process is doing done if the thermostat sense the configure temperayure set up it will trigger to stop your compressor motor as well as the blower fan, blower fan independenly to you compressor.if your thingking that your compressor is tripping off, check your operating current on one line using clamp ammeter and compare to the rated current that tag on
motor compressor body,if the current flow is higher than the rated current specified on compressor motor, well problem occured it will trip your compressor, because overload protector is becoming your thermostat.but if you got same current result it was cycling process. If tripping off maybe air is present in your system call qualified ac tech, to purge out air in system.
