The dishwasher is displaying 5H in the time panel is there any way that could happen by pushing the wrong button and is there any way to make it go away

It would help to know the model number to determine the features of your dishwasher. The only guess I can make is that someone pushed the "delay" button and you are now set for a 5 hour delay for starting the dishwasher. Pressing the Delay button a few more times should bring it back to Zero delay.

Fixing 5E or SE error code on Samsung model Dishwasher

Our 13 month and very expensive Samsung dishwasher model DW80F800UWS stopped working and displayed error code 5E or SE if you don\'t know they all start with a number (which I did not). After 2 weeks of pain with "repair man" an fixed it myself and I wanted to share my success story.

This dishwasher uses an optical sensor to detect how much water is in the tub body. Older dishwashers use a simple float but Samsung had issues with these sticking open so they must have switched to the solid state sensor at some point. Believe it or not if the sensor gets dirty with gunk from food the sensor false reads that there is still water in the tub and shuts down with error code 5E. The sensor is removed from the right side access panel (when looking at the machine from the front. Its a small round clear plastic sensor held in with black plastic clip. Take it out and clean off the gunk. Re-install and wham bam thank you mam!! Your wife will think your a genius!! total cost of repair is Zero...yes that right ZERO!

Part number for this sensor is DD32-00003A and you can use the Sears website to see the diagram and location. Here is the link

I wish I would have done my homework first as I had a failed service call before I fixed it myself! Cost me some money I hope others can avoid!

What does a 5h code indicate

The GE dishwasher error codes I have seen start with a letter (usually "C") not a number. I suspect that this isn't an error, but an indication that you have activated the system to delay starting the dishwasher. I believe 5h represents a 5 hour delay. Pressing the "Delay" button should cycle through the different selections and eventually bring it back to Zero.

How do you test ohms on a thermal fuse for a dishwasher

Disconnect all sources of power to the dishwasher.
Set your multimeter to the lowest RESISTANCE setting.
Place one probe on each side of the thermal fuse. The meter's reading should drop to zero, or very nearly zero, and should be the same reading as you get when you just touch the two probes to each other.

If you read anything significantly higher than zero across the thermal fuse, replace the thermal fuse with an identical one - same part number, or same current/temperature ratings.

Bosch dishwasher

,ake sure when it was installed the hose is not higher than the discharge drain, it will create a vacuum and it wont drain for airlock, that's all.

2-3 inches water left in bottom of dishwasher after it finishes it's cycle model DU81OCWDQ5

The model number of your dishwasher is DU810... (zero not O).

Please refer page 28 of user manual. It is normal for some water to stay at end of cycle. However, check if the air gap (if insalled) is clear. Also make sure the kitchen side of drain hose is clear.

Unless there is a fault condition shown by flashing lights, then it is pretty normal operation.

In case in future you need to refer to the parts of your dishwasher you can refer this site.

Manual for sears dishwasher item MOD#1440902214409000

I am not sure if you have got the correct model number.
Sears dishwashers are usually of the following makes - Kenmore, Maytag, Kithchen Aid, Whirlpool and the model number would be something like 665.xxxxxx

Can you please change the model number and post a comment.

WHO MAKES THIS MACHINE AND WHERE DO YOU GET PARTS AND WIRING DIAGRAM

At this stage I can only tell you this dishwasher was made by a company called Applusa and it is atleast 10 years old.

It was an Italian made dishwasher imported into US by a trading company called "Stainless" who would also use their logo on some of these imports.

I am trying to find if anyone acquired the service business for this model of appliances. Will have to get back to you in a couple of days if that is OK>

Not drying dishes

The fact that it does not work on all three settings suggests it's something common to all three. Sounds like perhaps your immersion heater is bad or even worse, some contacts or relay in the control circuitry of the drying cycle. To check the immersion heater will require you to pull out the washer from under the counter & to remove power from the appliance. Looking underneath the unit, remove a power lead from one side of the heater unit. Next, turn a volt/ohm meter to the highest ohms setting, turn it on, and touch the two leads together to make sure it's working. It should show zero no matter what ohms setting you have selected. Next touch each lead to each of two posts on the heater unit. It should show some resistance other than zero if it is good. If still zero, you will need to get a replacement heater from your fav local appliance store or go on-line and order it. Either way, make sure they have the full identification of your washer make/model. Let me know results?

How do i find the model number for kenmore dishwasher

Model Number Locator Tips
1. A zero in the model number might be the letter O.
2. A lower case L might be a 1.
3. Some models have 3 digits and a period first, like this 555.66666666
Look for an aluminum tag--or a silver and white adhesive label in the locations illustrated below. The model number may be printed or stamped onto the tag and may be printed in different type sizes. NOTE: There may be partial model numbers on marketing stickers or in the owner's manual. These are often incomplete. For best results use the model number from the tag.
