White screen

-   i have the same problem, my monitor stays white when it's on doesn't matter if it is hooked up to a cpu or not, have tried cables that work with another monitor but it doesn't matter, I can even change the brightness but no picture just a white screen. -   Guest

-   I have, more or less, the same problem with my two year old 22'' LCD Samsung monitor. When I turn on the monitor, a white screen comes up. I then have to wait 2-3 minutes and turn the monitor off and on to get the picture up from the CPU. The screen flickers then for about 10-15 seconds and the brightness is lowered on the screen. After about another 60 seconds the picture becomes clear and all aspects seem normal. It seems like it is taking the monitor 4-5 minutes to warm up each time it is turned on or is awaken from sleep mode. I have tried my other monitor on the CPU and it seems to work fine so I believe it is the monitor, not the CPU. Is there anything I can do to end this problem or would it be better to simply buy a new monitor? -   RevengeYuri
