My phone was charging 2 nights ago but I had to hold the charger a certain way and today my phone will not charge what do I do to fix it?

Sounds like the charging port has a bad solder joint, this can be caused by accidentally pulling the phone while it is still plugged into the charger. The charger isn't the problem and neither is the phone software the problem is the port itself has come loose from the board. It needs to be replaced.

My galaxy 3 phone will not charge properly how do i fix it

Charging issues is a process of elimination. First the charger....many chargers will fit but not all that fit will work. A bluetooth charger will fit but would never charge your battery completely. Make sure you are using a proper charger. 2nd is the charging port on the phone. If the charger is loose it could be a bad port or the prongs on the charger are not holding....is it loose? Or if there is corrosion on the port. If corrosion, clean with alcohol and tooth brush. 3rd is the battery. If its swollen, then it's toast. A li-on battery will start to decrease after 400 to 500 charges.

My charger will shut off when I plug in into my laptop. I have bought a new one and still same problem.

The charger is supplying power to the laptop, but the power is not making a circuit, other indications are that the led on the charger might flash before powering off.

You have a problem with EITHER the charger port (check where the charger plugs into feels loose) OR the charging circuit on the motherboard is damaged OR (if fitted) the cable that connects the charger port to the motherboard is broken.

If you can still power from a battery, at least the laptop might be able to be repaired , but you need to dismantle the laptop, check the charger port and where it connects to the motherboard, if there is charring here, or burning around the contacts, the motherboard will need replacing, if it has just come loose, you can obtain the part off ebay or similar and resolder it onto the board. If it is the connection cable variety, this is even easier as a replacement will simply plug into the board (check existing cable for continuity using a multimeter first).

If there is charring or the repair will not work, I suggest you have someone remove the motherboard. Check the inline ceramic fuse near the charge port and make sure this is intact (if not it will need replacing), and also on the underside of the board, check that there are no burned or melted resistors. If this IS the case, the motherboard is scrap.

Depending on the age of the laptop in this case, you might find it better to sell it for parts and get a new one

I just replaced my laptop battery - BATBL50L6. My charge light flashes orange. Win7 says plugged in, not charging. shows 0%. I tried reinstalling the ACPI battery monitor in DM.

try putting the old battery back in and see if you get the same problem. Also check where the chargers plug goes into the laptop. If it fits loosely your charger port needs replacing.

When I put in the charger for my Samsung phone, it says "Charging stop" when I put the phone down. Why?

Your charger is probably loose or not fitting into the port correctly. After you put it down, wiggle it and see if the "charging stop" disappears.

On the exterior of my laptop where the battery power adapter plugs into the laptop the power cord wont go in to it?

Check that there isn't something jambed into the charger plug itself. When it fits into the charger port, most ports have a power pin running down the middle of them. The opening in the middle of the charger plug runs over that power pin. If the pin has broken off the power port or has been bent over, it will keep the plug from entering. Also, on the sides of the power ports there is a small strip of metal that touches the charger plug when it enters the port. Make sure that these are not sticking out too far to keep the plug from entering. I would check to make sure that the charge plug is not plugged up.

Where does the charger plug in??

Did you recieve a manual with this radio? It usually states where the charger plugs into...

As my experience with other handies like this recalls, it should take the charger in either the mic or ear jack... (provided there are not any other jacks meant for the charger)

Best way is to obtain a manual from the supplier if you want to make 100% shure!

Johan
