Question about Philips HTS3450 System
Dvd is in the player but won't come out. When you open the drawer, the movie is not there. Will still play the movie, but we really don't feel like watching The Holiday over and over and over. How do we get the disk out?
If your hts3450 is like mine, the case opens by removing 2 torx screws from side and 3 from the back. however, there is a plastic guard over the dvd area that prevents one from lifting the dvd out.

Before you do what I am about to suggest, understand that doing so will void your warranty with Philips. Find out if the product is still in warranty before proceeding - if it IS in warranty, then get it replaced through Philips (even though it is a simple solution):
Unscrew the four main screws on the bottom of the main base that are keeping the main unit together. Open up the case, retrieve the disc. Make sure that you do not knock ANYTHING out of place - you must proceed VERY carefully. Rescrew the case. Voila!
