You can find the owner's manual for this set online at: http://www.zenithservice.com/gcsc/b2c/hpi/main?tc=owm.command.OwmCmd It says that the BOTTOM four connectors are: 1. S-Video IN 2. Video IN 3. Audio (Right) IN 4. Audio (Left) IN Above the Audio IN connectors are two audio OUT connectors, which you could hook to external speakers, your stereo, etc. But these are not needed for hooking up your DVD player. From your DVD player, you need to hook up either the S-Video or Video connection (Video is typically the Yellow wire), plus the Audio connections (Red and White). If your DVD player has an S-Video output, this will give you a better picture than the standard Video connection. S-Video cables have a different plug, with four or five wires in the connector, and are keyed so they only fit into the socket in one orientation. Be careful to line it up properly and not force it in the wrong way.

Oh, and the TV/VCR/Source button on the remote will switch you between watching channels from your cable/antenna connection and your DVD input.

TV input not recognizing cable signal; shows "No Signal" when connected

Use the remote and go to every input, dvd / component 1 / component 2 / aux / hdmi etc. Try them all. If that doesn't work, try using a different connector, example, if you're using s-video or hdmi, try using RCA plugs (red, yellow, white) instead. 9 times out of 10 that;ll fix it. Hope I helped Grim

I have the 3 RCA red, yellow, white cables on back of dvd and to tv. Video only plays when I select video 1 under the input. When when I select video 3 only sound and no video. What else can I try?

Sounds like from the symptoms that you have plugged the white and red cables into AV3 input on the back of the Teleivsion and plugged the yellow cable into AV1 on the back of the Television.
Check the cables are all plugged into AV1 input ports on the back of the Television. Red and White go into the Audio inputs and Yellow goes in the video input. Also make sure you have not plugged cables into component inputs on television look for AV1 in on back of Television .

When ever i plug in my video and audio cable the red white and yellow ones, into the back of my Toshiba 26CV100U TV i don't get the picture i only get the sound what should i do ?

The Red, White and Yellow (AV) cable is for composite video and stereo audio. The yellow cable is the video part of this, the red and white are the audio --
3 possible solutions for you:

1. Make sure you match up the color of the plugs with the sockets on your tv.
2. Make sure you're not using the Red, Green, Blue (RGB) input on your tv which uses similar plugs, but has a different color coding.
3. Make sure your tv input is set to the AV input. This is often controlled by the "TV/Video" button on your remote, and the AV input is often called "Video 2" or "3" depending on the model.

II HAVE A 13 INCH BRAND MODEL DWT 1304. I JUST WANT TO USE IT FOR A DVD PLAYER. I HAVE NO REMOTE ,HOW DO I CHANGE THE TV TO PLAY DVD OR VEDIO

Connect the composite video RCA (yellow) cable output of the DVD player to the TV's video input RCA (yellow jack). Connect the red and white RCA cable from the DVD players audio output to the TV's audio input (red and white jacks). Select the source input from the TV's control panel - if it has an input selector switch, set it to select the video source from the front panel input jacks if you connected the three cables - yellow, red and white on the front of the set. Or, change the channel to receive the video auxiliary input source instead of the broadcast station.

How do I connect a Nintendo 64 games system to a Hitachi TV?

Hi kdg 1026,
The wire from the Nintendo should have 3 plugs on the end. Yellow, Whit and Red.
OPn the baqck of the TV you have inputs that are color coded, Yellow, White and Red.
Plug the wires into the color coded inputs.
Turn on Nintendo. Press input button on your TV remote until you get the picture.
Let me know if this helps.

We are having trouble connecting our dvd player to our samsung tv.

couple of ways but the easiest way would be connecting the video and audio out from DVD need rca connections yellow red and white)
Yellow --- Video
white and red is audio out left and right.
find in your tv set inputs with similar colors its going to be input 1
or input 2 (as an example)
once you conect the cable matching colors yellow to yellow red to red and white to white make sure you select the same input on your set (video 1 or 2) that its throu input selection in remote control from tv or set itself.
