I have the same problem, my printer has been sitting unused for over a year now because I cannot afford to keep getting it serviced just to make 3 prints before it malfunctions again. I beleive it is paper dust getting on a sensor somewhere - I wish I knew how to service the printer myself! So if a solution is given to you I will be very interested in it!
there is worm virus that will make a printer print until it runs out of paper and if you add more paper it will keep printing till it runs out again i would take the paper out of the machine and run an antivirus scan on your computer usually the print is not legible with this virus
At the printer icon cancel/delete all print jobs.
Turn it off by unplug the power cable, and the then turn it on.
If its still blinking, push once the on/off button or if there is any paper feed button
your getting a 383 paper jam, find paper in two different places.
See if it's a duplex related problem. print single sided documents, if that works, try printing two sided documents (it'll be the duplexer) if it only fails while printing duplex.
Also, check the back door. Make sure the back exit tray is closed all the way.
You can also have a paper jam in the duplex unit (open the front door), the duplex unit slides out the front. You can easily remove the duplex unit and run the printer without it.
Hi, I assume you can run paper thru the manual feed without any problems? If so the paper sensor that detects the paper in the tray has either broken or fallen off! If you take the paper tray out and tilt the printer a little bit on it's back you should see a sensor that will swing back and forth its' solid black/plastic . The sensor is very cheap and I'm pretty sure this is the problem> Good Luck!!
