Recovery partition full error

Hello
I have a gateway laptop running windows vista home premium.
Every time I turn it on now it tells me that recovery partition D
is full.I have tried going into this partition D and removing all folders and files except for the recovery folder and a program called PC Angel
comes up and says do not remove any files.
Please tell me how to free up some space on recovery disk D.
Thanks for your help,Jack in apache Junction ,Arizona.

Hi,
Please go to Start + Run and type cmd
Type chkdsk d: /F /X /R
It will dismount and check for any errors after the system restarts
follow the method to clean the disk space.
) Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools
2) Click on Internet Options
3) On the General Tab, in the middle of the screen, click on Delete Files
4) You may also want to check the box "Delete all offline content"
5) Click on OK and wait for the hourglass icon to stop after it deletes the temporary internet files
6) You can now click on Delete Cookies and click OK to delete cookies that websites have placed on your hard drive. To clear the Internet History in IE:
1) Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools
2) Click on Internet Options
3) On the General Tab, in the middle of the screen, click on Clear History
4) Click OK
To clean up other temporary files on your computer in Windows 98 or higher:
1) Click Start, Programs (or All Programs), Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup
2) Choose the correct drive usually C:\
3) Check the boxes in the list and delete the files

My hp laptop with windows vista home premium is not booting and showing to insert bootable disk, which I don't have.how i can get this

The installed Windows in your laptop has been corrupted beyond repair - you will have to reinstall it.
For that pres F11 during boot to launch the HP Recovery Manager from the recovery partition then follow the instruction. If even that fails it means that the hard disk itself has failed - the disk will have to be replaced and to reinstall Windows you will have to order a recovery cd for your exact model from HP.

This error comes up if the toshiba recovery cannot recognise the file system and partitions. try removing all partitions using the fdisk utility or a windows XP CD and then run the recovery.

Xp & vista toghether

You will need to partition your hard drive into two bootable partitions. Install Vista on one partition and XP on the other. This will make your system a dual boot system. Hope this helps.

To make recovery partition for vista

If that's a brand new model damroo, the recovery cd should be a software that you can click on the desktop, it should say something like HP PC System Recovery or something similar. For a complete guide, try checking this out. It should be similar in making recovery cd on XP/Vista.

Hope this helps.

Continues rebooting

OK it is going to be difficult to solve this one with so many different errors. Given that this is windows Vista it is probably a bad driver. Possibly the graphics card driver. Also vista is quite punishing on hard disks so we'll start there.
First off take a backup of all your documents photos videos etc. because the check disk can cause havoc if it finds a lot of errors and can take down windows altogether. Also you must be prepared to re-install windows so make sure you have a recovery method (recovery CD's or a hidden partition on the Hard Disk) If the hard disk is truly borked though it might take the hidden partition with it. Proceed with caution and make sure you can get the PC back up and running if the worst happens.

First run a check disk. In My Computer, right click on the c drive, click on properties - tools - check drive for errors, then restart your computer and let the chkdsk run.

Post back here with the outcome.
