On older DP-01s there was no built in metronome. Instead you had to midi sync a drum machine in order to get a click track.

Later firmware revisions however did have a built-in metronome. I'm sorry I don't know the revision levels that had it as my DP-01 is long gone. I do remember that the manual came with an addendum which contained the instructions for the metronome though. Unfortunately I don't believe Tascam makes firmware upgrades available for the DP-01 like they do for some of their other models so the firmware might be hard to come by if yours is an older one.

Just thought I'd add this: I did just find the info that any firmware version from 1.10 and upwards has the internal mentronome built-in. So if your firmware is 1.10 or greater you won't need a midi device to get the metronome working, just the instructions - which unfortunately I don't have.

The metronome on my P90 won't switch off. Is there a way I can fix this easily?

The P90 uses a rubber membrane switch to turn the metronome on/off it maybe that this has failed. Inside the rubber is a carbon contact that bridges over the PCB. If this gets dusty or worn out then it will not operate. This could be the cause, dismantle and clean and try again.

If not then it is with the electrical circuitry which would be harder to diagnose.

SEtting tempo on metronome Zoom R24

The metronome speed is controlled by the Tempo setting. The metronome controls only adjust the volume of the metronome and if the metronome is heard on the input or output recording. The R24 manual is available here: . See page 20 for setting the Tempo. The Tempo button is below the Tempo label to the left of the LCD display on the right side of the Zoom R24.

I hope this helps.

Have old Seth Thomas Metronome ,only key turn about 1/4 turn.Is that normal for vintage one.

It is not normal. Metronome should wind almost the same as a clock. The cause for this 1/4 turn of a winder is that the driving spring do not unwind completely. That means there are mechanical or oiling issues. Show your metronome to any clock repairer (not the watch repairer) and he/she should be able to fix that.

I can't figure out how to change my metronome (A Korg Metronome MA-30) to 2/4 instead of 4/4

Turn on metronome. Make sure that metronome is not operating. If it is operating then press metronome switch to stop it. Now press up (^) or down switch. This will change the time signature. When u get appropriate time signature, press Metronome switch once. It will start operating with selected time signature...

Recording do not sync up

1rst- Maybe you choose the incorrect metronome. On analog audio record use your default audio card metronome and on MIDI audio record, use MIDI metronome!
2nd- Check your memory video card & remember your computer speed is as fast as the lowest speed component on it.
Pardon my poor English!!!!

Good luck!!!
