I called it a salon dvd because that's the way it's listed when I type into my search engine. btw, salon for me means my home living room... When typed into the search engine, this particular model does not show up. I tried that many time before posting my question here. Thanks anyway.

Salon as in your using it in your business. First of all you should not be using it in such ways as dvd's are licenced for Home use and not public exhibition. As far as dezoning it type it into your search engine

Download a manual

Here is the manual for the Philips DVDR3575H - if you have a DVDR3576H, the manual is exactly the same, as the only difference between the two models is the color of the outside casing:

Unable to select channels using the unit

First, test to make sure the Philips remote is working by trying to play a dvd. If the remote control is working, then either A) your TV is set to the wrong channel, or B) you have not selected the correct source on the Philips remote.

Look at how the cables run from the back of the Philips to the TV. In the back of your TV, the slot that the cables are plugged in to is usually labelled "AV1, "AV2, "Video 1", "Input 1" or something like that. Change the television to the appropriate input/source channel.

Press the Source button on the Philips remote and make sure it says E1 or whatever the appropriate source is.

Then try changing channels using the Philips remote.

This does not exhaust every possibility, but you must check the above first to see if anything else might be wrong. If the above does not work, then I would double-check to make sure the cable/satellite box is connected to the Philips correctly.

I just purchased a phillips dvdr3576h and hooked it up to a new vizio. I cant make this thing work.

Try the below first, but you may require additional assistance after this:

Dvdr3576h will record on dvd+r but will not play on other devices

You will need to finalize the discs on the Philips. I know the manual says that +r may auto-finalize, but I found that finalization sometimes fails on the first attempt. Go into the menu for the Philips, and select the Edit Disc -> Finalize option. Once finalized, your disc should play in other players.

I need to dezone my Toshiba SD-V392 !!!!

You can't dezone it.

This is why they put zones in the units. Blame the record and movie companies.

99% of dvd players cannot be dezoned. Do a search on the net for a dvd player that can be dezoned and go buy it.
