This tv is in my motorhome and was used with satellite service. Now I want to use it with my cable and I can't get it to work even though I have ran a cord from the cable provider to the tv

Sure, Why not? It is worth the effort. If the set is 'dead', it is the easiest to repair.Only 'tampered' sets pose problems. It could be a simple blown Fuse, or the Power Regulator IC. This should not cost you more than $100-150 as Technician charges + 15-20$ for spares. It could also be a defective Horizontal Outut Transistor and short cicuiterd FBT, (tho' it seems remote), but if yes, add another $100. definitely worth calling a professional techie

I dont know if this will help anyone....but I opened the TV up and found a blown fuse right wherer the power cable connects. I replaced the fuse and while doing so noticed alot of dust and what seemed like part of a spider web. I got a can of compressed air and cleaned it up. Once I put in the new fuse the TV worked perfectly.

Push the power button and the action button on the tv set until it shuts itself off and this will reset your tv. You cannot use the remote to reset...must use the actual tv buttons on the television set.
