Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
I put my disc in the xbox then i stat to play it and i hear a loud screach then i turn it off and my dics dosn't work and there are thick circles on the edges of scratches. also it will read as a movie after that
Hi there, That problem is caused by the laser assembly on the hitachi dvd rom drive. any movement of the console will wreck havoc on your disks, if the scratches are not to extremely embedded in the lacquer you may be able to buff them out. as far as the laser assembly it might be covered by the warranty if so then i would get it replaced if it becomes an issue. But remember that the console can destroy your games/movies if any movement is present when the console fires up the dvd rom drive. I hope this helps and if you have anymore questions please let me know.
