If there is a power light but it won't turn on , then some testing will need to be done to find out what has failed , if there is no power light then the transformer may need to be replaced or you blew a fuse in it

Surround sound only plays via cd/dvd will not play through normal tv audio. can u help me fix this

Only a digital source can provide true surround. If you're running the audio FROM the TV TO the receiver it is probably analog stereo only.

Why not get your TV-rekated audio from the same source you're watching - like the cable/sat box?

I cant get the surround sound to work with the tv stations but it will work with DVDs

Not much detail to work with here. Your cable box (?) should have a digital audio output. Use it if your HTS has an input for it. Otherwise, analog audio from the box or TV won't produce true surround, but most HTS can simulate it.

Have surround sound only when play dvd..

if you have a sat/cable box it may have audio outputs that you can connect to the input of the surround unit or if your tv has an audio uotput it can be connected to the surround unit. The audio outs of the tv may or may not adjust with the tv volume. This will not produce a true surround signal because th tv does not output a true surround signal. But yo can adjust the surround unit to get a nice sound.

Blu ray connect to my sc-pt660

as far as hooking up your blu ray player to the sc-pt660, the only real way to utilize the surround sound (with true surround sound) is through the optical audio out. You need to connect your blu ray player through hdmi to your tv and then connect your blu ray player to your surround sound using the optical audio out/in. I, personally have the sc-pt660 hooked up through component cables so I don't waste an HDMI input on my TV. Except for cd's, there is no reason for you to use the actual dvd player part of the surround sound considering you have a blu ray player. In conclusion, hooking your blu ray player and the sc-pt660 up to get better video simply isnt possible (your blu ray player alone gives the best possible resolution, 1080p). As far as audio goes, run an optical audio cable from your blu ray player to your sc-pt660 to get true surround sound.

How do i connect my blu ray , home theater and tv? I know the hdmi gos from the blu ray to the tv and the optical from the bluray to the home theater. The quest is will i be able to hear my tv in surround...

If your home theater has an hdmi in and out then you wuol be better of connecting the blu-ray hdmi to your home theater then to your tv. If all you have are optical connections to your reciever then what your doing will work fine. Additionally if your blu-ray has built in decoders not present in your reciever and also has 5.1 or 7.1 analog outs you can connect them to a six or seven channel in on your reciever if it is so equipped and have the benefit of true-hd or other current audio formats on current Blu-rays

COBY cs-p63 ,how to connect to a computer

Hello,

with this system it comes with connector cables, on one end is 3.5mm to go into your computer and the other end is rca jacks that go into the subwoofer, all the speakers go to the subwoofer. your computer must have all 5 ports to get true surround sound, if not, just hookup the ones for the FL FR and run RCA split from that to the speaker output on your computer.
