I have two offices across the street from each other with a breezenet dwbs ds 11 routers on each, every thing has been working fine for about 3 years. Last week we started having problems on and off during the day users loose their connection to the internet or the network drives from across the street I have tested the ethernet hub, cables changed ports and reset both routers. The problem continues, any suggestion.
Have you tried using different channels? Usually your router will recommend a good channel. Or you can test each channels connectivity efficiency with a tool. Find the best channel you can and connect. Any normal interference should be gone. I can have the same problems and I don't live in the city :). If this doesn't work, check the positions of your routers and all connections. Make sure all parts are pointing in the right directions and your computers do not have new programs that interfere in network efficiency (nerohome servers, etc.) If this doesn't work, try updating your firmware and contact your vendors tech support for more info. Sorry can't tell ya anymore.

Re: Breezenet wbs ds 11
Hi, i cant really give you a exact reason as i aint used that particular model, things i have found that can cause interference to wireless routers are, alarm systems house & car, Microwaves, certain models of cordless phones, and these are only some, and i have found only certain ones conflict on certain channels and disconnect you on & off.

First RESET your router to defaults. for that press RESET button for 10 seconds RESET button is in back side of router. Then connect your router to computer with ethernet cable. Then you can access it with following link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password" Then you can see configuration page of router. Set WAN settings as your internet service provider settings. Enable DHCP . CLick on wireless and enable wi fi. If you want secure router then enable WEP security then add new code it is your password key for connect wi fi. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks.
Have you considered contacting Alvarion directly?
If this is a revenue producing venture I would be contacting them. It could be the box itself, bad antenna connections, or simply a firmware issue. Seems like you have tried all the normal fixes.
Let us know how it goes. Anyone else with a suggestion, jump in.
