M2n68-la beep codes

Hi,
Whenever electronics devices give high pitched beep, it generall means a future failure . There could be reasons for the same.
1. Static built up on the motherboard
2. Conflict on the USB ports.

Troubleshooting 1 :
1. Diconnect all the wires from the tower, including the power cable. Press and hold the power button in the front to remove any static from the motherboard.
2. Check and try again the devices on the USB port.

Troubleshooting 2:
1. Check USB ports for damage , try connect the device to the back of the tower.

Troubleshooting 3
Clear the motherboard setting , use the link attached and see clearing the BIOS settings

check your event viewer, but it sounds as though you may have hdd problems. You will need to backup your drives at your earliest opportunity and re-install on a new drive

When I turn on power long beeps no post or video. What do the long beeps indicate?

These kind of beeps usually is an identification for ram or cpu errors. I have to know your exact model of the computer and the kind of beeps (e.g. 1 short - 1 long or 2 shorts - 1 long or 1 short repeatly, don't worry there is no problem if your computer beeps for some seconds) in order to tell you if it's ram or cpu problem.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

3 short beeps -- Memory error.
4 short beeps -- change atery
5 beeps cortos -- bad processor.
6 beeps cortos -- bad keyboard.
7 beeps cortos -- video memory bad.
8 beeps cortos -- video bad.
BIOS PHOENIX

1-1-2 beeps -- Problem with cpu/motherboard.
1-1-3 beeps -- Cmos issue.
3-4-1 beeps -- Video issue.

BIOS IBM

1 short beep -- Post normal, ok!.
2 short beeps -- POST error, will show on screen.

I have a Lenovo A61 Thinkcentre that is about one year old. I am now hearing a fairly loud noise that comes and goes. When the system starts, the noise appears and lasts 10 - 20 minutes, then disappears....

Ok it still sounds like an fan. look for fans, one in power supply, one on cpu, one in case(frount or back), one on video card. before you start from cold unplug the fans that you can. and stop the one in power supply. then if there is no nosie you have to start pluging them back in till you hear the noise. **NOTE!!** don't run it long without fans!!( 40 secs) is long enough..

Dell Precision Workstation 670 has no video on screen.

Support for ISV-certified PCI Express graphics cards up to 150 watts and with up to 512MB graphics memory including: nVIDIA® Quadro® FX 4500;
nVIDIA Quadro FX 3450; Quadro FX 1400; ATI™ FireGL™ V3100; nVIDIA Quadro NVS 280; All graphics cards support dual monitor configurations
Although it may not be your video card thats the problem. when youre computers posts, it beeps once. If it is beeping more then once youll want to check with the board manufacturer to see what the code its giving means.
