The windows are not each on a seperate fuse if they all went out at the same time i would say its probably the switch in the drivers door cause all the power goes through that switch to go to each door switch

SOURCE: Where is the fuse for power windows on 1997 Rav4?

Well the thing is, it's not a fuse issue. If the drivers side works but the passenger and rear windows do not you most likeley have a bad master window switch (drivers side front). I now that it sounds odd but the only common thing with the remaining windows that are not working is the ground source located in that main switch. You can check to see if there is a ground from that switch but this may be a litle confusing. If you are able to remove that main switch in the drivers door but leave it plugged in here is how you check for a ground. Get a test light and connect the "alligator" clip part of it to a hot (positive) wire or terminal. In the back of that plug stick the "pointy" end of the test light into different wires. The wires you will want to check is the green & red one, The blue and white one, The red and yellow one, the red and blue one, the blue and black one and the blue and red one. If none of those wires makes the light turn on it means you do not have the ground you need. You have constant power but want makes the windows go up and down in the switches is a ground. All the windows get power from the same place so that's why I say it's a grounding problem since the drivers window is working and Like I say the only common source is in that switch. I hope I didn't confuse you with this but this is the best way I can explain it to you at this point. If you have questions or need this more detailed with some pictures, email me at [email protected] and I will do my best to help. No there will not be a charge if you email me. I don't mind helping and I am an automobile electronics specialist and sometimes it's hard for me to put it in plain nontechnical terms. Please remind me of your problem and what we are working on if you do write. I hope I was able to help at least a litle bit as to your problem.

I need to know the power source for the driverside master window control unit. is it afuse or relay? and where is it and its not in the fusebox underdash---driverside

Hello: The power source is a circuit breaker located in the fuse box under the driver side dash. There are 2 circuit breakers (about 1 inch long and 1/4 inch wide. The top one is for the windows, swap the two breakers, If the windows work then you have a bad breaker. If windows don't work the remove the window switch assembly from the door. on the back side of the window switch assembly you will have a heavy pink wire, that is power to the windows. with a test light check to see if you have power. If you don't the it could be a broken wire where the wire comes from the body to the door. If no broken wire then it could be a burnt fusible link that comes off the starter. ALSO BELOW the window circuit breaker is a black connector that supplies power to the windows, the trunk release and the sunroof if equipped. This information straight out of a 1988 CADILLAC service manual. Check that black connector for burnt wires and make sure its plugged in tight. Do any of the windows work from the individual switches in the door.

Power windows not working

check for blown fuses?you've most likely done that. open hood and look on the driverside fenderwell for a black main fuse and relay center or box, open the box and look under the lid for locations of relays and fuseslocation the fuse for electric widow and as you look at the fuse, you will see a horseshoe type metal ring inside the plastic 'window' if it's broken(the hORSESHOE} the fuse is bad and needs a new one.there is also a fuse panel located on the driverside of dash, open the door and you should see a removeable plastic cover on the drivers door at dash panel just to the left where the door closes. remove that cover to expose the fuse panel to inspect for blown fuses. thank you for choosing fixya.com

We have a 2000 jeep cherokee. The blower has quit working good except for on the highest setting. Also when we try to get the power windows down they will not work. Could these things be related?

They aren't related but i think i can tell you why there happening...The blower motor has a Blower motor resistor this is located on the passenger side directly below the glove box i believe there is a cover that you have to remove to see it. once you remove this cover you will see where the blower motor is being held, what your looking for is a 4-5 wire plug thats held in by 2 5/16 bolts remove this with the power off as soon as you take it out you will know if its burned out or not just by looking at the coils, each coil is a measure of resistance the bigger coils should have a break in it somewhere.
As for the power windows, these widows have a separate circuit power there should be a fuse panel located bottom right foot of the pass side front seat, you may need your owners manual to find which fuse. If the fuse is still good i would make sure that none of the power windows switch's are stuck in the up or down position, because if they are stuck the can trip. All the power to your power widows comes into the driverside master control panel...you may have a lose connection...good luck hope this helps

Driverside window stays down

there is a module that drives the regulator power window assembly.
the module(express widow module) is probably at fault.
if the module does not register that the window is all the way down,it will not allow the window to go up.

Heater fuse location anyone?

to start out make sure you have the right amount of antifreeze in the car and if the blower motor is not working it probably is the fuse or the blower motor itself check the fuses under the dash on the driverside and the panel lid should tell you which one is for the heater

Look under the Hood and Locate the Fuse Relay Box. Usually on the Drivers Side on GM Vehicles. Inside this Box is where the Relay is for the Windows. The Relay and Fuse Diagram is on the Inside of the Box Lid. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
