Kerosene heater won't restart

A dyno-Glo 125,000 btu kerosene heater with a thermostat, will run for a while, shut off, and display E 1 error code. I don't have the manual and don't know what this is. If the switch is turned off and on it will turn back on, but won't restart automatically.

I have the same problem. The fan turns on but the fuel won't ignite. Then E1 displays on the read-out. The igniter is functioning with plenty of spark.

I had the same problem! check the two lines on them take them off and make sure that they have no cracks if they do you can get them at any hardware store bring in the lines and match them up! then check the psi gauge make sure there is preassure if there is not take off the back plastic piece behind the fan! there will be a gasket i cleaned it up put some silicone on it, then i put the gasket back on and put some silicone on top of that. i secured it let it dry for about 30 mins. Then i turned it on and there was pressure but still did not ignite. There was an adustment screw right next to the psi gauge i adjusted a little and it runs fine now!

SOURCE: Dyno-Glo RMC-95-C7 kerosene heater. replaced wick

once the tank gets low(on E) put the heater outside and let the remaining fuel burn completely out. This will burn off the residue build up on the wick and make it easier to turn off manually. do this often. i also use an old toothbrush to "fluff up" the wick. if the residue is too hard for the toothbrush bristles, flip the toothbrush over and break up the residue with the back side of the toothbrush. once all (or nearly all) of the residue has burned off you may see some smoke when you ignite the wick again. also, it may smell for a bit. I always light and shut off the heater outdoors. I mounted a dolly (table withe 4 wheels) under the heater to make transporting it easier. hope this helps!

did you try cleaning the lens of the photocell, they git dirty from smoke ver time which regulates the flame or replace the nozzle, sounds like it could be getting plugged up? usually any heating store would have a nozzle for a couple bucks if you get the number off it. the nozzle is right where it comes out and they are common to plug up at times with wear

Keep getting E1 error code, where is the fuel pump located? where is the fuel filter located on my dyna glo deluxe multi feul 170000 btu heater

The fuel pump is directly behind the fan motor as the fan motor runs both. The fuel filter is under the electrical control panel on the side of the heater usually has four to six 5/16 head sheet metal screws that hold it on. Remove the screws and then the cover comes off and this is where you will find the fuel filter.

If it is a gas, thermo type heater, then the thermocouple is bad.Check and make sure the pilot lite flame is touching the tip of the thermocouple,if it is not, adjust it,to where it will.If it is not adjustable, replace the thermocouple.
