How to fix restarting problem on Asus desktop comptuer?

Tyler
It could be a marginal power supply, gaming puts more requirement, processing power, therefore more power is required by the CPU and the graphics card. And of you are overclocking then it needs even more power and generates more heat. Do you have a video card installed or just using the integrated video?
Another possibility is temperature threshold setting in the BIOS or some control panel tool run within Windows. If the threshold is set too low, the computer will turn off to protect the CPU. It may have something to do with the fan settings. Quiet setting for fans may prevent them from going full speed to cool things down.
Try to run a system monitor tool to see how its handling the extra gaming load.

During gamming im getting freezing and flashing yellow light, on the power button.

Hello there, I am the computer technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.

Welcome to Fixya, Miles Gordon.

This is a typical overheating problem. See, your computer heats up when playing games, in the first 5-10minutes. As the components get warmer they increase the air tempreature in your computer chassis. This heated air is insufficient to cool your Processor and Graphics card, therefore resulting in a Blue Screen of Death known as BSOD.

You are using the GTS240 Graphics card, it is a tiny tot so go easy on the detail settings.
Use the following settings:
Resolution: 1920x1080 if your LCD display supports it.
Anti-Aliasing: off
Anisotropic filtering: off
Set the rest to medium or low.

You will have to play arounf with the other detail settings depending on playability. If it's jittery set it to a lower detail setting.

Install 120mm or 140mm fans in your computer chassis if possible. You should at least have one installed on the side panel to provide freash cool air to the graphics card, processor and power delivery system ,MOSFETs. With an additional 120mm fan installed at the rear of the chassis to exhaust heated air.

Your power supply should be rated for at least 500Watts continuous power output, since the core i7 processor is rather power hungry.

Click here to download Hardware Monitor, to check your tempreatures. Click download now, save the file to your computer and install it.

Your processor temp, should be nothing higher than 70degrees C and the Graphics card nothing higher than 75degrees C.

Take care!

Yes, they probably forgot to install your video card drivers. Do you have an nvidia or ati card? If so, got their website and download the latest drivers for your model and you will be able play those games.

Have you opened the computer up and checked the fans for dust. As you say, those are clasic overheating symptoms
Use a small brush and a vaccum cleaner, or a can of compressed air(air duster) to clean your pc's fans.

Hi..It could be your processor is overheating. The cpu may be perfectly fine for gaming but it may need a bigger heatsink and fan or needs to have the dust bunnies removed.

It could be a power problem when playing games.
When a games starts up the graphics card starts to draw more power from the system.
Its could be that your graphics card might need replacing or that your power supply might need upgrading. PC systems, more so gaming systems, like to have alot of power.
Also before this I would try and download the latest graphics card drivers, to see if that helps the problem.

Had the same thing happen to me a month or two ago, Battery recharge is taking up all the current flow for a period of time. Leave it alone for about 30 minutes to recharge, then you should be able to operate the laptop again, but will have to remain hooked to outlet power until battery is fully recharged.

Online play/ multiplayer

Try reinstalling the game and then make sure both the game and windows are patched and fully up to date.

If that doesn't work, try reinstalling your video card drivers (or upgrading them).
