Canon imageclass d880 continuance problem with incorrect paper si

I keep getting incorrect paper size on my canon and I cannot figure out how to correct it. I do not have the printer connected to a computer, I purchased it for small business purposes and I basically use the copier and the fax. Needless to say, the fax and copier will not work properly with the LEGAL size paper setting and I need to know how to change it without connecting it to a computer. If you can help I would appreciate it. Thanks. Felecia

If you follow this link you can download the guide for your printer. If you refer to p.65 and p.66 it gives you visual step by step instructions on how to adjust the paper size. If you still need further assistance please let me know.
Thank you,

If the using the menu of the printer lcd still didn't fix the problem, the only way you can make this work is to conenct it to a computer then after that adjust the settings of it...

From the Canon USA web site:
To set a fixed paper size: Press <Additional Functions>, then select [COMMON SETTINGS], [MP TRAY PAPERSIZE], [ON].
Choose the appropriate paper size from LTR, STMT, CUSTOM PAPER SIZE*, A4, B5, A5, or LGL.

There maybe an adjustment on the rollers for different types of paper grades. If so adjust it for heavier paper weight.

Make sure to blow off the optical device near the print head.

Hi,

Clean the ADF rollers and pad with alcohol.

Check to see if your ADF has done over 90 000 copies and if it has, change the ADF pick up assembly only.

Good Luck

Paper jam that I cant get at

the paper must be jammed in the fixing assembly.
you are gonna have to remove some screws to remove the plastic covers. once you took them off proceed to unscrew what ever needed in order to free the fixing assembly, which is the one located in the upper back part of your copier. once you released the fixing assembly release the springs and remove the metal stoppers. now you should be able to remove the paper jam. good luck!
