Push the red button all the way in as far as it goes and turn the knob to the left (counter clockwise) past it's normal position. Then you can pull the knob out. When you replace it make sure that the pin part fits inside the slot of the shifting arm inside the tool.

I have a Cummins hammer breaker that is identical to the Bosh unit. I need a new armator, but the bosh replacement part is over 300 dollars. Is there an alternative source that is a bit less than what I...

I know this is not the answer you want but I have an older 65LB. Boch Electric hammer drill and breaker combo that I bough used for 400.00 with a new 1 In bit and chisel.Ran great for several years than the drill quit. Hammer would still work,I took it to a shop that I trust and they said they armature was cracked and would cost in excess of purchase price for parts and labor. I checked on several sources and got the same answer. Sorry I can't help you more

I have a Bosh, model no. 11232 EVS Hammer Drill, but do not have the service manuel, and would like to know how to service it, how and when.

Many people service their hammer drill when it begins leaking, stops hammering, or just quits running. Bosch makes a service kit that comes with brushes, grease, and all the o-rings and seals their own technicians at the Factory Service Center use to rebuild the tool. 1617000263 is the part number for the service kit, and costs under 50.00 . The unit will have to be torn down and cleaned(everything forward of the armature). If you dont do it for a living, it can become quite a project. Try to avoid bringing into a service center disassembled, because they will charge you more than if you just dropped it off for a rebuild.

BOSH PSB 600 RES drill will not restart

Hi, Sounds like you have a pinched wire somewhere. When you say you somehow make it work are you bending the powercord, shaking the drill or what? Any of those things would suggest a pinched wire or broken switch. Make sure the switches for reverse and hammer work in both directions. You say it is relatively new and there is no smell so I would not suspect the brushes and it doesn,t sound like it is running long enough to overheat anyway. The best advice I can give you is that the drill needs to be opened and examined, and if you have an ohm meter check all of the connections from the power cord to the trigger. If you don't feel comfortable with that then you may want to return it under your warranty or you may want to do that anyway. Good Luck!
