Mike, does my Sunpak PRO 423PX have a reversible head fitting?

I have a Sunpak PRO 423PX carbon fiber tripod. I'm fitting another head to it, but the tripod has a 1/4 inch fitting, and the head a 3/8 inch receiver. A clerk at a camera store suggested it might have a reversible connector, but if it does, it's neither mentioned in the supplied tripod handbook, nor obvious on the tripod. Do you know if it does have such? Thanks

You can get a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter at any reputable camera store, or on eBay.

SOURCE: i need to order replacement

Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen. If you need parts other than the quick release; it may be better if you bought another tripod.

Where can I get an either replacement handle or the entire head for my Sunpak 7500 Platinum Plus tripod?

Hello, Richard -

I am not finding any replacement parts online (in the USA) for the Sunpak 7500 Platinum Plus tripod.

However, in the USA, ToCad America appears to provide repair services for Sunpak products.

See:
https://www.tocad.com/

Scroll down that page to the Contact Us section where you can fill in a form to send an email message. You can ask if the company provides and sells the right kind of replacement handle.

Best wishes.

Cannot find way to attach new Pistol Grip head

Often the less expensive tripods do not have heads that are removeble and replaceable. On the Sunpak 6600DX you have teken the head apart, but there is no provision for putting on a new one because it was never made to take one.

Can i put a ball head on the 757 tripod

If the original head on the 757 will come off then you possibly can put one on there given the bolt on the bottom is a standard 3/8" or 1/4" screw. You can find some heads here: www.spartanphotocenter.com
