Question about Bernina Artista 180
I was sewing, hit a pin and broke a needle. When I put in a new needle and tried to sew the upper thread keeps getting caughter in the bobbin area and looping and finally breaking. I have tried everything I know.
Best scenario is that the needle hit deflected and hit the hook that the bobbin snaps on to. When needles hit hooks they can leave a mark or burr that the thread will catch on when it comes around. Take out the hook and run your fingernail over the edge from the point back. If you find a burr get some crocus paper (very, very fine sanding paper and polish the burr off.
Next would be that your machine is knocked out of timing meaning a trech will have to reset it.
