Frigidaire double overn - upper oven had a spill. The spill went through the bottom oven's door vents and is now in between the glass and I cannot get to it to clean. Need schematics that show how to disassemble the door so I can clean it.

You can buy the new glass yourself and do it, as an easy task. Or you just called a Figidaire service tech. You will need the model number and you don't tell us :>D

Unscrew the handle and screws at the bottom. Carefully separate the outer panel from the frame

Yes, you can clean it yourself but be sure to take note of the way you dismantle the door. I usually take pictures to be sure of the process.

Please follow the below steps

1)Open the door.
2)Check the hinges and let the door be opened in half way.
3)Use Philips screw head at hinges screws.
4)remove the door and take the inner part alone.
5)Just follow the picture for more help.
Clean it and place it again.
It is very simple you can easily clean it.

you have to let the oven dry and clean and you should not put any oily foods on it..

stain is between glass in oven door. can we take door apart

I had a similar problem with a spill running into the vent and between the glass. I had to take the door apart clean it and then put it back together. It sounds hard, but it was just a few screws and a little time.

The door will have to be removed an taken apart. Be very careful l with any seals and gaskets possibly even insulation and take note of where all screws and various parts go so that it all goes back together properly.

The only solution seems to be ordering a custom glass piece matching the dimension of the glass on the oven door. However, since my oven is white I would like the door to be white too. Although I have found glass guys who can tint the glass door dark, I have not found anyone who can color it white. Let me know if anyone knows such a glass vendor.
