While playing less than 15 min ps3 ejects disc by itself and continuosly makes the beeping sound of when you try to eject when theres no disc(3 beeps) afterwards disc wont stay in for longer than even 1 min. After a couple of days, it may work for like an hour or two but eventually returns to the same problem even with dvds, blue ray, cds.

press and hold eject button for around 15 seconds, it resets the cd drive, hope this helps

If you are getting the freezing or it is just not playing films then you need to clean the drive, you normally have to send this back to get it done, however you can do it yourself with a good guide

remove the 2 screws holding in the motor then rotate gear that has screw on top of it counter clockwise,,should drop everything to nodisk position then put back together

Sounds like the laser has gone bad, and also the drive is stuck. Try CPR in the NYC. They service playstations much faster than Sony, and can usually get it back to you in a week.
