Question about Procom MN100HPA Heater

Pilotlight won't stay lit.

PG&E was out and did the same. The little round burner next to the pilotlight is weak. This part should stay on at all times but goes out when heater goes off. Does this part need to be replaced or is there something elase I can do ?

It should like you may need to replace the ODS Pilot. This comes with the thermocouple, orifice, electrode, and the bracket that holds them altogether. If you need this part you can purchase it by calling 800-446-1446. Master parts is the part distributor for ProCom units. Thank you

My majestic fireplace lights and the burner lights and I turn on the switch and the burner stays lit for a minute or two then I hear a click and the burner and pilot light shut off

yes this would appear to me to be the classic symptoms of a bad thermistor , this little device proves that fire has lit (via heat) and keeps gas valve open , otherwise gas valve times out and shuts off (safety)

Pilotlight will light, but goes out when i turn knob to light burners

sounds like you just need to hold it to the light pilot position a little longer . that heats a thermo couple that keeps the main burners on .

Hi, I have a pentair minimax 250 pool heater and the burners will not stay lit. The pilot stays lit but burners will not kick in. I have it jumpered on the gas valve to heat the pool but I feel very...

first of all dont jumper the gas valve! if the pilot stayson and the burners wont fire there a a few reasons for that. one of your safeties are open.....malfunctioning potentiometer ( tstat control)......or theres a short or voltage drop through the circuit. ur pilot generator should have around 400 dc millivolts. if you follow the path in the circuit and anything drops to the 200dc mark then theres a problem. make sure ur electrical connectors are tight. millivolt models are garbage, as it takes very little to interupt the circuit

Pilot lite won't stay lit

Thermostat flame sensor. Do you see a little rod next to the pilot? That is what tells the main gas valve that the pilot is lit and it is safe to give gas. Easy swap, and you can usually just pick up a generic one.

Pilot burner lights but main burner won't stay lit

Sounds like you have a problem with your flame sensor. Its cheap little part that will shut off the gas if it doesn't prove that there is combustion. Its a safety, if you can find the part its really easy to change but i highly suggest calling a hvac company to do it. They usually have them in the truck and they should be done in 30 minutes.

Hit the flame sensor next to the pilot with sandpaper. If it still doesn't work replace it.

I changed the thermo coupler and the pilot light does stay lit but the burners won't light

If you are referring to a gas fireplace:

  • Make sure the pilot knob is turned from "pilot" to "ON" or it will never run.
  • If the pilot knob is "ON", and the pilot is lit, but the burner won't light, it could be a bad Thermopile. The thermopile is the other safety mechanism in the pilot assembly that controls the burner.

Burner won't light, pilot is burning just fine.

Once you get the pilot to light and stay lit did yall move the burner knob to the ON position? Is the temp knob all the way up?

I have a Model CGN250TE.The pilot light stays lit but when you turn control valve on it stays lit for 5 seconds and then shuts right down, even the pilot light goes out.I have tried venting the room and...

I would first check the gas pressure to your furnace. Then make sure that burners are clean and watch flames when burner first ignites. I have seen burners that were dirty cause delayed ignition that would create a suction when they came on and extingush pilot and burners.
The next thing I would do is change gas valve. Thank you
