Paper feeds as if normal but no printing appears on paper

I have a TSP600 star micronics thermal receipt printer i changed paper rolls and now it won't print although it ''acts as if it's printing'', there's just blank paper coming out did I put in the wrong paper? the company is very  annoying to contact and bounces me around to phone number after phone number. I have struggled with buying the right paper as no one gives me a straight answer as to the paper type.  I live in Canada so would appreciate a canadian paper supplier, if possible!

If it is now printing blank and was working before the paper roll change then you need to flip the roll over and print on the other side of the paper. This is assuming you have the correct thermal paper roll.

My Star TSP600 Thermal Printer is displaying a flashing Error light. Power light on, new roll of paper loaded correctly, self-test was ineffective - nothing printed. What's my next step?

i know you stated you put the paper in correctlyin the printer but if the thermal reactive side of the paper is not facing the print head the thermal paper won't print on the wrong side of the paper. it will load into the printer and seem ok but the heat on the wrong side of the paper will not react and show any writing. Can you try turning the paper over in the printer feed holder so the other side of the paper faces the print head and give it another test .

I have a Star TSP600 Thermal Printer which is displaying a red error light.

Are you sure the paper is correctly routed? It will pass a detector. Mis-aligned paper, or defective/damaged detector will present the error.

My tsp600 receipt printer will not print and the error light is on.

Dear Oasis Pools,

Please advise if the error light is flashing or solid. Also, perform a self test by turning the printer OFF, hold the feed button down, then turn the printer ON at the same time. A self test should print out. Did this print?

Im using a Star TSP600 printer, it respond to the computer but the paper prints a lot of quetion marks insted of the normal text, what mite be the problem

Make sure the dip switch settings are correct. This is probably a serial interfaced printer and the baud rate or parity is wrong. Do a self test on the printer by holding down the feed button and turning on the printer, release button after the printer starts printing the test page. Now make sure your computer settings match the printer settings exactly.

My star tsp600 has stopped working properly. The auto cutter no longer works and the receipt paper does not advance fully.

You will need to take the printer in for a service. The cutter is Jammed and that causes the fault on the paper feed.

Blinking red error button

Blinking light can be caused by a multitude of problems, but in most cases it is caused by the little white switch that you see when you open the printer lid to install paper. Has to be replaced by a printer technician who can get the part from star micronics. Another cause is bad cutter or paper out switch located under lid at the back of printer in which the paper pushes the switch into the side of the printer. None of these problems can be solved by an end user.
