Remove the printwheel, check and be sure all of the spokes are not bent or mis aligned, be stre the ribbon and L/O tape are not interfearing with the printwheel reinstall the P/W turn off the machine and turn it bacr on.

Two of the keys aren't working can it be the printwheel

If the keys do nothing at all it's the keyboard
, if it prints 2 vertical lines it's the print .wheel..

My lower case e shows vertical lines, the upper case is fine as are all other keys

The lower case "e" spoke on the print wheel is either bent or broken. If it's bent you may be able to straighten it, if broken it needs replaced.

When keys are depressed, the correct symbol is not typed. All keys are off! no manuel available. s/c sl 575

WOW ! It's been a long while, but usually the problem is daisy wheel gets in crooked. Also, there is a little post that a hole in the daisy lines up. When was the last time the machine had a good cleaning? There are some position sensors that could be dirty.

Be sure the print wheel is properly installed and that there is no debris in the P/W area. otherwise you'll need a tech.

Have the same problem. Wheel does not line up with keys

You have to loosen the screw on each side of the carriage that holds the silver guide and move it away from the font wheel. The factory adjustment is to put in 2 pieces of paper and adjust to be snug. Take out the paper and it should reset properly.

Wheelwriter 6 typewriter hammer no longer strikes

It is pretty common for the pad on the solenoid to strike the keys wears out, and for the batteries to be dead for the memory. Your machine probably needs a good cleaning, oiling, and a new pad for the striker. about $100.00 in the shop.

type "code" and "reset" it will reprogram itself and get the wheel lined up properly to be correct with the keys you type.

I am trying to type a letter but when I strike the letter g it types a $. None of the keys seem to be lined up with the correct letter on the wheel. How do you correct this problem?

there is a slide switch on the L.H. side of the key board that reads 10,12,15, PS
the switch needs to match the print wheel stile you have in your typewriter. most typ's have 10 or 12.
PS stands for proportional spacing a takes a spicule print wheel
