Question about Toshiba 65HDX82 65" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I just bought a Toshiba model 65HDX82. The TV works but cannot play DVDs or game systems. I was told the card reader needs replaced and then it will pay DVD. Also, the picture is a little squirmy when there is fast movement. I was also told the card reader would help with that. I have been looking online and cannot find any thing on "card reader". Any info would be very helpful!
I suspect that it won't play any source that uses progressive scanning. The likely problem is the hyperboard or scaler board. This component allows the TV to switch from sandard definition TV to HD. Typically, the hyperboard will cause shaking and wiggly images especialy noticeable at the top of the screen. It will generally work better the longer its on. Expect to spend $400-500 to resolve this.
