Yes, rewire the power supply and short the power on button. Then stand back and watch the fireworks. There is a reason why the system is set up like it is. So just spend a bit more energy and press the little button on the front and wait the extra half second for it to start.

Does anyone know where I can get a Schematic diagram for a Shuttle MV43 v3.1 Motherboard

If this was damaged 'In Transit' contact the company you bought it from and they may be able to supply you with a replacement. The damage was possibly due to bad packaging at their end or damage while the delivery company had it.

Shuttle av49v motherboard specs and manual

Here is a site where you can download the manual. You will need Adobe reader(www.adobe.com) and look at lower right side of page. Make sure prior to installing that you un-check ANY third party software being listed as "Optional Offer" as, this could put something on your unit that may interfere with your anti-virus program. http://global.shuttle.com/products/productsDownload?productId=522

Hope this helps.

I have a Bernina Activa 140. The threaded needle is not catching the bobbin thread. What should the needle height be from the plate?

The needle height is best checked by rotating the handwheel until the needle goes down through the stitch-plate (Make sure you're using a zig-zag stitch plate and not a straight stitch plate) and just starts to come back up again. Stop there. Gently push the needle bar to the right until the needle is at its furthest-most travel right (next to the right-hand edge of the needle slot). Tip the machine backwards slightly and drop the bobbin door; take the bobbin out. Open the hook/shuttle retainer, but leave the hook/shuttle in the hook race. The point of the hook/shuttle should be somewhere near the top, just below the stitch plate. Slowly rotate the handwheel until the point of the hook/shuttle passes just behind the needle; The point on the hook/shuttle should be just above the thread hole in the needle - if-so, the needle is at the right height, assuming the machine is properly synchronised. If its at the wrong height, you would need to have the needle-bar mechanism adjusted to put it right (relatively simple) - you cant just try and fudge it by adjusting the needle height using the needle securing screw. If you need help with re-setting the needle bar to get the right height, I can help, but you really need to be sure that the machine is properly synchronised first, so this may not be the total solution. Hope this helps.

Shuttle has been working fine for about 4 years. Then it would be slow coming on, maybe boot up 20 mins after pressing the on button. Eventually refused to come on at all. I replaced the power supply and...

Change your BIOS battery.
I have an old Shuttle XPC sn41g2. It's been running almost constantly since it was new. About a year ago it started to be difficult, it was difficult to start and sometimes I had to try several times before it started. At the end I had to disconnect and reconnect the mains supply everytime i had to reboot the PC. Then one day I discovered that the prosessor was running at the lowest standard frequency so I went to the BIOS to set it right, did so and rebooted, and the prosessor stil wouldn't run right. After some thought I changed the BIOS battery, went to the BIOS, resat all settings, then it rebooted normally and since it has been running like new.

Takes up to 30 mins to turn it self on

I had the same problem with 2 of these systems.
You need to replace the power supply.
I know it's a weird problem. It seems like it shouldn't start at all.
But it solved the problem with both of the systems.

here is a link for the power supply at a few stores:

Hope this helps.
