Just a suggestion. Remove the ice tray and the ice. Do you see a spiral cork screw? this is driven by a connection at the back. Is the connection between the ice tray and the turning motor being made when the tray slides in? Just chec it out. Sometimes ice builds or things get in the way of the tray seating properly.

If for some reason you need to access the inside of the door it usually means removing the door seal to do so.

Typically this occurs when the dispenser door does not close all the way.
The dispenser door is located in the freezer door in the chute that the ice dispenses down.
With the freezer door open shine a light up from the outside and look down into the door from the inside. If you see light around the door flapper, you will need to replace the dispenser door, if there is a large gap between the dispenser door and the chute you will need to replace the mechanism that controls the door.
Take the ice container with auger inside it and defrost it. Withe the door open to the freezer push the switch that turns light on in freezer to turn it off. Have someone push the ice dispenser switch while you hold the light button in. Tell me if there is any movement in the auger motor in rear and let me know what you find. Thanks, Sea Breeze
