I am not able to scroll up or down the menu list. The scroll bar is not working. The scroll bar is coming to the extreme right of the screen. Is it the problem of calibration? in that case how to calibrate the mobile?

Scrolling is different for many of the different lists you'll see. In some lists, such as the Artists in the Music Player, you 'drag' the list up or down, by dragging the last or first items respectively.
In All Tracks, strangely, dragging the list doesn't work. You'll have to use the scrollbar on the right. As far as I've seen, dragging will not work if a scrollbar is present.
In most lists, scrolling with the jog dial on the back should also work. There are lists which don't respond to the jog dial, but that is usually when the volume would be changed instead (eg. browsing the playlist when listening to music).
But at least one of the above three should always work. Hope that helps.
