The printer says there is a paper jam inside and to open front cover and remove drum to clear jam. We've done this, turned the printer off and on, clicked the stop/exit button and it still says there is a jam when there isn't one.

Had same problem. Closer inspection revealed bit of paper out of sight. Removed the toner cartridge and worked to free torn paper. Then restart. Hope it helps.

what you need to do is pull out the drum and remove the paper that you can see.
just pull out the drum unit harder.

Pull the tray out and make sure the back guide is pushed against the paper. The back guide tends to move easily on these models

1. Face the back of the printer. You may have to disconnect the cables. Just note their position for later reconnection. Open the rear cover.
2. Lower the forkish cover that is further in the back of the printer. It has a sticker on its left side.
3. There is a "finger" in the middle of the forkish cover that may not be in position. Note that there is on the mid-right side of it a tab, that has to be positioned to go down into the hole.
4. Close both covers and reconnect the wires if necessary.
5. It should now be working BS"D!!!
