Brother printer clear non-existant paper jam

The printer says there is a paper jam inside and to open front cover and remove drum to clear jam. We've done this, turned the printer off and on, clicked the stop/exit button and it still says there is a jam when there isn't one.

SOURCE: Brother HL-2030 paper jam

1. Face the back of the printer. You may have to disconnect the cables. Just note their position for later reconnection. Open the rear cover.
2. Lower the forkish cover that is further in the back of the printer. It has a sticker on its left side.
3. There is a "finger" in the middle of the forkish cover that may not be in position. Note that there is on the mid-right side of it a tab, that has to be positioned to go down into the hole.
4. Close both covers and reconnect the wires if necessary.
5. It should now be working BS"D!!!

Brother HL - 2150N Paper is jammed inside printer; how do I remove it ? URGENT - business printer... thank you!!

Open the front cover, remove the toner/drum cartridge.
Open the rear cover, look for a jam lever you can press down then remove the paper from the back.

If you try to pull the paper out through the front you can damage the gear system.

Use both hands to try and limit the possibility of tearing the paper.

There is a paper jam...how do I unjam it

Hi dorothyhover,

Here's how you would clear paper jam from your Brother HL 1430:

1. Remove the paper cassette completely from the printer.

2.
Pull any jammed paper up and out of the printer.

3.
Open the front cover and remove the drum unit assembly.

4. Pull any jammed paper up and out of the printer.

Do not remove the drum unit assembly with additional force at this time if you cannot remove it easily. Instead, pull the edge of the jammed paper from the paper cassette.

5. Open the rear cover and pull the paper towards the back of the printer, the fuser may get dirty with toner powder and may result in toner scatter on the next printed page or pages. Print a few copies of the test page until the toner scatter on the printed pages clears.

6. Close the rear cover and install drum unit assembly, close the front cover.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

There are three places to clear the jam: 1. Paper tray (remove it and feel inside, clear paper. 2.Open the front (above the manual feed slot) inside is the drum - remove that and the toner cartridge, if necessary. 3. On the back - open the rear chute. You should be able to remove the paper in one of those areas.
