If still the same problem then 2 options
1)replace the head of your printer it will cost u near to $65 .u can get it from the caNON service center or a nearest canon printer dealer to your area can get you this head if you place an order.
2)replace the printer to hp.
-------------------------------
as my advise is to replace the printer to hp as this will be helpfull.
feel free for further assistance.
thanks.

Meaning of error code 6500 on a canon pixma ip 4200

According the the owner's manual for your printer, this error code pertains to other hardware, specifically your logical unit (motherboard). I would recommend uninstalling any software that is related to this printer and reinstalling it again.

To uninstall software: Select Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > select Canon Pixma from list > follow prompts.

To reinstall use the disc that came with your printer, or if you no longer have it you can download the software from: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_ip_series/pixma_ip4200#DriversAndSoftware

Just follow the on-screen directions.

Hope this helps.

When I try to print I get the following message: "Error Number: 5100 A Problem has occurred with the printer mechanism. Cancel printing and turn off the printer. Wait a few moments, then turn the power...

Did you follow the "cancel...." instructions?
Did the problem persist?
Did you contact your local CANON office, and ask for the location of the nearest authorized CANON Service Centre?
If so, what did they say?
Is your printer still under warranty?
Have you exercised the warranty, to get it repaired/replaced?

Colour ink cartridge not recognized

You can bypass sometimes when the cartridge is just empty, but there's no bypass if not recognized. You can try using an eraser to wipe the contacts on the cartridge and inside the cartridge holder, but if that doesn't work you will need the new cartridge.

No installer for Canon 4200

You can download the drivers off the Canon website. My fiance' has a Pixma 4200 and I was able to download the driver there a few months ago.

Canon IPixma 4200 Won't Power On (occassional)

Go on an elimination hunt. Try connecting to a new power outlet altogether. If no go, try turning off and removing all cords, usb etc, reconnect. Then try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer to see if this corrects it. Post agian if no good.
