Emerson 1100 microwave prolonged heating time

Have 1 of 2 choices, the main fuse or the control board for the front switches and clock. primary of the small power transformer has opened. Unplug the unit and take case off and measure the fuse with an ohm meter. if u read 1 ohm or less then fuse is good. then measure across the main power plug tips. If read open then the power transformer is bad. Need to replace the board as not sure if transformer is available.

Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

it is the door problem it seems to be known issue per target sales guy he advise to call emerson since it is past 90 days for target to return

There is a 20 amp replaceable fuse inside the cabinet next to the power cord

check control panel, may be problem at control circuit.

hi your door has hooks which activate switches.one of the switches is called the monitor switch .the purpose of this switch is to close the mwave circuit[complete the circuit] indicating your mwave is safe for use.at present your mwave circuit is open therefore your functions arenot working .check if door hooks are making contact with the switch ,check if the swith is testing continuity.ihope ihave been of assistance let me know cheers
