How do you clean an ecowise yoga mat

Before you wash your yoga mat, it is important to note the type of material that it is made from. Different materials are going to require different washing methods, and so you want to know what you are dealing with before you wash your mat and potentially ruin it.

Is there such a thing as a backpack for yoga mats? I ride my bike to the gym and want to put all my gym stuff and the yoga mat in a rucksack.

Everything yoga has a backpack that fits a yoga mat http://www.everythingyoga.com/yopa-bag-yoga-mat-backpack.htm but if you also want to put your gym stuff you may need a different shape rucksack. The Crescent Moon Yoga site sells bags that have mat carriers which attach to the bag. http://www.crescentmoonyoga.com/Products.asp?cid=1&scid=13

Can I use my yoga mat for pilates?

No. Although the mats appear very similar, they serve different purposes. Yoga excersies focus on standing poses where you need to feel the floor under, hence the thinness of the mats. Pilates, on the other hand, is focused on a lot of ground work. You will be spending a lot of time while doing pilates laying on your back. For this purpose, pilates mats need to be thicker.
