Make sure that you have removed the tape from the bottom of both cartridges fully, that the numbers on the new cartridge match the numbers on the old ones, and that you there is not ink on wither the copper contacts inside the carriage or on the cartridges themselves. If that does not lead to a resolution, look at the print head and make sure that you have not damaged the ribbon cable that runs into the back of it. Also check to make sure that when the printer is restarted that the print head moves the full length of the printer. If it cannot this indicated that the head may be jammed or that the gears may have gotten stripped.

By the way, I forgot the most obvious...The toolbox software is part of the driver, if you changed your ink you should definitely try and re-run the printer calibration.

To refill ink cartridge is a high tech job, I'm not recomend you doing that, the problem you have right now, I believe inside the cartridge is dirty.

Check print cartridge keeps coming up so i refilled the cartridges and reset the printer but the fault keeps coming on.

Your pen nib is faulty, but you are filling the ink, it wont work right?.. Similarly print cartridge(s) are faulty, no use to refill it. Do this exercise:Remove both cartridges from the printer, switch on the printer see the cartridge missing status on panel, insert mono(Black) cartridge close the door see the panel massage, if it's detected no issue with mono cartridge,if not mono cartridge faulty. insert colour cartridge & see..find out replace it...

I have refilled my black ink catridge in HP PSC 1410 . now my printer does not print any pages . i have cleaned my printer catridges, still it's not printing any pages . plz tell me the detailed steps to...

Sounds like the printer thinks the cartridge is empty. Old PSC units had a 3 cartridge memory - you kept 3 cartridges and cycled them to trick the printer into thinking it had just received a brand new cartridge, rather than a refilled one.

Refilled Cartridges

I've refilled cartridges twice so far. The first time, the black was completely empty and the color was nearly empty. The printer accepted the color refill and not the black. The second time, I refilled both cartridges before they completely ran dry and both were accepted by the printer. The gauges don't register the ink, but it prints just fine. I just monitor the levels through the print quality. A friend with the same printer has told me that she only get 2 - 3 refills before the cartridge has to be reset, and that is a tricky process, but can be done.

Color cartridge wont print

The color cartridge is defective. Sometimes, when the printer detects a refilled cartridge, it "marks" the cartridge as defective hence the refilled cartridge will not work on any printer.

Print cartridge in right stall not supported.

As a refiller, I've seen this many times. Usually it happens in the multifunction machines. If you put that cartridge in a stand alone printer, it will work good. HP all in ones blow a resistor in the cartridge making it useless to any all in one machine. Sadly, it is time to buy new.
