Omni 3730 communication error

We have an Omni 3730 credit card processing machine. When we switched to a new processing company, we now get communication errors when we try to run credit cards and we can usually clear by unplugging and plugging the machine back in. When we plug the machine back in - it shows a modem error. The company tells us our problem is because our phone line and credit card line are the same. We have used a credit card processor on the phone line for 6 years without a problem. The problem happened as soon as we downloaded the new code from the new processing company. The processor is 3 years years old. Could the processor be bad? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

SOURCE: I am having a problem

This usually means that there is a problem with the phone line. also these terminals are very sensitive to noise (static). Another solution is that the modem on the terminal can be damaged. If your processor is not helping maybe you should give me a call i would try to get you better rates and also trade you a working terminal for the damaged one that you have. Check out our website www.numoneyprepaid.com give us a call, ask for Irving ext 210

SOURCE: Modem won't connect to internet.

maybe you have to wait for your provider for them to isolate the problem, it seems that your modem got hit maybe by high surge. ask them to bring a spare modem for isolation.. there is no way for you to isolate the problem coz you've already done the basic....

Call your Internet Service Provider.
They can remotely "connect" to the cable-modem, and diagnose it.

If you have IE-8 installed, then uninstall it and it will start working.
You can uninstall IE-8 using this command in the run dialog box:
"C:\WINDOWS\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe

Batch out omni 3730

in order to settle or batch you will press the purple "more" key or the purple key to the far left until you see settle or close, then confirm amount. if you get a error message you will need to call your processor. if you get a QD followed by numbers or RB followed by numbers you need to call processor. if you take tips and have not adjusted them it will prevent from settling at times, check your sales by printing a report, press the purple key to the right of the alpha key above the 2. check your reports and try again. if you are getting can not connect to server or host, then you do not have a good phone or Ethernet connection. check those and reset the modem or terminal by unplugging and plugging back in right away. may need to leave unplugged for 60 seconds if it does not reboot it self.
if you lost the sales call processor.

Where do i look to see why machine isn't calling out to verify card

first check the phone line it self. take all phone lines out of the credit card machine, and unplug the power to machine. now take a telephone with a phone line attached and plug that into wall as if you were making a call on that phone. check for dial tone. if you have a dial tone, make a call. do you require a 8 or 9 to dial out? you terminal may not recognize that.
also if you do have dial tone do you use digital or analog phone lines? you need analog for terminals. if you have a fax line you can connect the terminal to fax via phone line. if this does not work contact phone co and ask what type of lines you have, you can also connect most terminals via Ethernet.

How do I change our company name on our receipt?

You need to contact your credit card processer. If it was easy to do so on your own it would breach the security built into the software.

Can't process health savings account debit cards

Health savings cards like flex cards are special cards. Generaly the processing compnay needs to mark othe box set for private label cards. If your processing company has already done this. The next step would be to call the 1-800 number on the back of the card ask them what the bin ranges are or if you need to submit any special info to your processing company in order to process the card. Once you have obtain the info contact your processing company again ask to speak to a supervisor or a Senior Tech inform of the info you obtain from the card company.
