Question about Bissell 7920 ProHeat Pro-Tech Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum
I have a Bissell Pro Heat 7920E carpet cleaner and the diverta flap arm broke. I have the new part but need advice on how to locate the arm into the spring loaded clip on the end of the diverta knob. Very limited space, can't get hand inside and don't want to do any further damage by pulling at plastic clips. Is there a trick to this?
Thanks for your help
Usually this can go one of two ways, very easily, or absolutely a pain. You will need needle nose pliers, and patience. When I am in the shop working on these machines, it's always a matter of not getting frustrated, and using eccessive force.
If there is a coil spring you will want to pull that back gently, and place the arm back into place, always be gentle and patient. Then you may have to use a flat head screw driver to push the arm into final position.. again.. be patient, and gentle... this is all plastic except for the spring of course.
I hope this helps.
