JAMMED FREE ARM ON EMBROIDERY UNIT

The embroidery unit wont go back into the possition to ship it in it's case. The hoop mechanizim moves back and forth but not the larger arm when I push the arrow button or the back up button. I have unpluged it and repluged it in, turned off the machine also. nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this problem?

I called my Tech (dealer) in Oshawa Ontario and he had the solution and it was simple. Just apply a little presure to the arm while pushing the return to storage possition button and it worked. I have since thought to myself that I had shut off the machine while the arm was still in the working possition and therefore (I think) couldn't recalibrate when I turned it on in the morning so from now on I will shut the machine down with the arm in the store it possition and see if it happens again. This might not have been the problem and then it may just be the cure. Thanks for answering my e-mail so promptly but I now have an e-mail for the tech in Oshawa.

Embroidery Arm is not moving right/left

Check to notice if when the embroidery arm is installed and you turn the power on does the embroidery unit move as it calibrates the stepper motors. If not I would first check the plug where the machine and embroidery unit attach. If this looks ok and is not out of place it could be a cable, or the main circuit board. Both of those are for your dealer to repair.

This can happen, click back to tools option check whether hoops selection is correct. If this is not the problem, off your machine then put on again. If message remain pull out the embroidery carriage & push in again. Hope it can work.
In jam situation, just exit from your embroidery option, fix the jam by moving the embroidery carriage, work on a different design and see if it work. Sometime a design may not work fully.

My Husqvarna designer SE embroidery unit keeps giving an error message "install hoop correctly". I've checked everything but can't get around the message. can anybody help ,?

You have probably got the machine set to use a different size hoop. Click on the hoop icon and change it to the size you are using. Hope this helps you.

In the middle of stitching a design - and when I came to a color change, the new color began stitching 1 to 2 inches below where it should. The screen showed the correct place, but the needle was way too...

If the design isn't too big, try rotating it in the hoop and stitch it sideways. If it works in that position, you probably should have the embroidery unit cleaned. I recommend the embroidery unit be serviced every 5 years. It may need it more often depending on your environment.

I bought a new embroidery unit for my designer 1 when I but it on it makes e terible noise and says to slide of hoop and clear position for i . embroidery position'But it won't go into embroidery...

Don't know for sure what is happening, but you should not put on a hoop until you are actually ready to embroider. The unit goes on while the machine is turned off; turn on the machine; it will make a noise; you should get a pop-up on your screen to Calibrate the unit. Touch this button, and the arm moves into position ready. Load your design and choose the correct hoop then put the hoop and project on the machine. Also be sure that your design will fit in the hoop selected.

Make sure that the red disk (smaller than a floppy) on the underside of your embroidery unit has been removed. Remove and discard the red disk. It is used for shipping purposes only. Joyce

Do you have a hoop already on when you first re-calibrate the embroidery arm? You need the embroidery arm ONLY when you first turn on. Don't put the hoop on until you are ready to start embroidering. If this is not the problem, try re-loading the machine operating system. If you did not save your floppy or USB file, go to Husqvarna website and download the latest one, and re-load it. (Be sure to select the correct file for your particular machine i.e. floppy or USB.)

The carriage of the embroidery unit is not move automatically to the embroidering standby position.

Is the need in upright position ?

or have you fitted the embroidery hoop correctly.
If all else fails switch off and start up again - should then automatically go to correct position.

My machine did the same thing. I had several frustrated nights ans then it just started to work. Some suggestions that I had was that there may be dust where the units connect. Not sure what I did, but it worked.
