Re: Printer wont Print
Why did you need a printer to leave this message?
Look in printers and faxs and see if it is shown as 'online' or 'offline' if it is offline then unplug the usb lead, shut down the machine, unplug it, remove the battery, press the on button for a couple of seconds.
Now reconnect it all and boot up. Once up and running make sure the printer is turned OFF then plug the usb into a different port and turn it on. Windows will install it to that port. Now try it

Printing can be a rather tricky process. If your planning on printing a document, press 'File' then 'Print Preview'. Once your happy press 'File' again, then press 'Print'. Connect it to your printer. Before printing, check that you have paper and ink.
Hi there! What is exactly problem? You couldn't printing from word documents, can you print from other application such as Excel, notepad, website. If you could not print from other applications as well then your printer have problem. Go to Start - Printer and Faxes: check your printer by right click on it and select properties, print the test page to see printer itself is working with windows or not. If you could print from other applications but not Word Docs, then your word application have problem. Try to end task it, go to Task Manager and End Task it. Most of the cases, just restart your computer and your printer to refresh the memory. Hope this will help. Thanks for reading.
Connect the printer to the laptop and install the printer driver on the laptop. When you want to print say a word document, click on File - Print - and is the Deskjet has been selected as the default printer - click on Print. If you do not have the print driver CD then you can download it.
You can download the printer drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB
support/download page. Make sure you select your model printer and the XP or
Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Click on
this link to download the drivers: - http://welcome.hp.com/country/au/en/cs/support.html
Assuming this is a Photosmart 7550 printer and not the 7550 Plotter, this is what you will need for connectivity. To connect printer to PC, you will need a standard USB A/B cable... one side is a male A connector and the other one a male B connector. As far as the drivers are concerned, you will not need to download any. Vista already has a compatible driver for your HP Photosmart 7550. HP recommends selecting the drivers for the Deskjet 5550 when installing your Photosmart 7550.
This model series does not include irda. Full specs and a service manual are available on HP's UK site, and no reference is made to any model offering irda. It only has an infrared sensor for a remote control device.
On the desktop machine - go to the printers folder, right click the
icon for the Laserjet and choose sharing (enable print sharing). You
should be able to name the printer and make it accessible to anyone
within the workgroup. If needed you can run the network setup wizard to change the workgroup names on both machines.
On the laptop go to add new printer and choose network printer, you
should be able to browse to the desktop machine by name and choose the
Laserjet as a printer (whether you want it to be the default is up to
you). The laptop will download and install the drivers from the desktop
pc to the laptop and set the correct network path automatically.
It goes without saying that the desktop machine must be on in order to print from the laptop in this scenario.
In administrator login the default printer is "Microsoft XPS Document Writer", make sure that the default printer is the HP Printer.
You have to change in the Print dialog box, select the HP Printer instead of "Microsoft XPS Document Writer"
