If the "borderless" function button is greyed out the function is not available to use, what you could try doing is reintalling the printers software and see if the borderless function becomes available.

kind regards

To enable 'borderless' option you need to have borders set up on the picture, if there are no borders, the command will be greyed out.

First go to picture settings and set picture format to RGB before printing, many feature are disabled when not on RGB mode.

On photoshop elements go to the page setup options menu, you get the option after you chose print command.
    This will
give you options to choose the papersize borderless or not etc.
    You wil have to
play with the settings to change the printing space for instance if you want to
print another pic on the bottom of a half used page.

The left to the right in a downwardly diagonal motion, releasing the click at the end of the image selection.
7) Click the Crop button.
8) Select File and then Print, select your options, then select Print.

This selection, revealed in the iPhoto window will now print as a borderless, 4x6 print.

I am getting paper jam error message after I try to print on photo paper

Some printers detect the type of paper you are using, and print accordingly. Do you have photo cartridges installed? If not, that will trigger an error message. Try putting a smaller amount of sheets in the paper feed- that can sometimes trigger an error message, I've read in reviews. Double check the printer to make sure there, indeed, isn't a paper jam. The type of paper one uses with certain printers can be an issue, so google your printer make and model number and then type something like suggested paper type, or things similar, and you will get some sites that discuss problems with different printers and paper types, and also suggestions of which paper will work well with which printer.
I couldn't find any specific information since I didn't have a make and model number, but hope this general information helps.
Good luck, and thanks for using FixYa.

When using canon pro 9000 with photoshop on a MAC Snow Leopard computer, I cannot print borderless pictures. How can I fix this problem

Preserve your memories forever with borderless printed photographs--while saving money and time by printing from the comfort of your own home. Some printers do not have the option of printing borderless prints, so make sure your printer supports borderless printing before beginning this project.

  • Download your digital photo to your computer from a digital cameramag-glass_10x10.gif, email or the Internet. Save the photo to your hard drive to a folder that you can find later such as "Pictures."
  • Step 2Open your digital photo in a photo-viewing software. Click "Print" from your menu. Go to your printer properties to change your printer's "Page Setup." Access "Properties" through the "Preferences" or "Options" link in your "Print" dialog box. Many software programs have a default margin or border for photos; to print borderless photos, you'll have to remove the default margin.

Canon Pixma MP610 custom paper size problem

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
    Hope this helps. Bud

    Heads off photos

It is the borderless setting that does this, cause in actual fact, all borderless does is strectch your image.

If you remove the borderless setting, you will get the heads back

Unfortunately there is no way around this. Just keep this in mine when taking your next photo's.

    Mac leopard and ip4500

    Hi,
Have you tried using different software for your printing.
Something that will give you more scope and resolution Options.
Such As Paint Shop Pro et,c. Or try and locate the default program for the hardware. Also try opening and re-saving the photos in a different Format i.e J-peg Or Bitmap. The canon is probably used to it,s own specific format. Finally is to check the paper-scaling, you,ll have to do various test prints at allocated sizes, to ensure the printers doing the scaling that it should be.
Hope this is helpful for you.
    Regards Mike @ Compurepair.
