Printout a copy of your printer configuration. Press the right-side of the MENU button once, then the right-side of the ITEM button twice, and press the SELECT button once. This will print out a configuration page. In the lower right part of the information on this page, it will give you stats on the Paper Trays and Options. Standard settings on these should be "Default Paper Size: LETTER, Tray 2 (LETTER). If either of these says anything different, I would do a cold-reset on the printer to reset it to factory defaults. If you have a network card installed, you need to pull it out before doing this. To do a cold reset, turn the printer off, then hold down the GO button and turn the printer on. Wait about 5 seconds, then release the GO button. Also, you need to check your print setup on your PC. I am assuming you have a WindowsXP machine. Click START, SETTINGS, PRINTERS&FAXES. Right-click your printer icon and select PROPERTIES. Click the PRINTING PREFERENCES button at the bottom. Click the PAPER tab. Check the boxes at lower left. "Size is should be Letter", "Source is & Type is should both be Auto Select". Click OK, click OK, and exit the Printers Window. Lastly, I would make sure that you have Letter size selected from the application you are trying to print from. Hope this helps.
