The controller was dropped in water and now has 1 yellow light. Is there anything I can do to fix it.

Odds are if you dropped you're controller in water and tried to turn it on while it was still wet you fried it and will need to replace it. That is the worst possible thing you can do to an electronic item if you get it wet. If you had no power to components/breadboard and allowed it to dry out completely or a reasonable amount of time near a heat source and no moisture is visable you stand a much better chance of that item working again. All you can do is let it dry out and try again. Do the 4 alternating (port indicators) lights turn on at all when you turn the console on and do you have any function whatsoever in the controller?

Firstly, make sure that it is no longer under warranty, if it is just return it to the store you purchased it from and let them fix it. If it is out of warranty, and you return it for repair, they will charge you heaps, so better look into repairing it yourself, it really is no big deal...

Dropped controller and water, controller works but

It probably messed up the control's power mechanism. Unfortunately you're probably lucky that it still works at all and I don't think you'll be able to do anything to improve the battery usage.

My ps3 was dropped by accident and now it wont display anything. The green light comes on but the blue one doesnt. I also noticed that the controllers wont charge anymore nor will they turn the system on...

Anytime something electronic is dropped its usually a cracked board that is the result which is why your ps3 now is acting crazy doing weird things.

I personally think its a goner cause the board probably has hairline cracks in it and that will affect how the system runs.

Damaged xbox 360 wireless controller

try this :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.
