Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

My laptop now crackles when playing music videos etc and didnt yesterday nothing has happened to it ie dropping or accidents

This problem might be due to speakers. WebRepOverall ratingThis site has no rating(not enough votes)
Also try to update the drivers that control your PC.
Download the latest recommended sound drivers. If you are a non-technical user then i would suggest to use some driver scanning tool to download the device specific sound drivers. You can use Driver Scanner 2013 - Download it here:

I dropped my x-10 palm pad remote in water

I've dropped a lot of phones and other devices in water! No feeling quite like it :(
Maybe people will advice against this, but I take the hose to my vacuum and (with the batter out) vacuum every inch of my devices. Another tip that has worked is to put the device into ziploc bag of white rice for a day or so. It'll absorb any water that is still locked inside.
Hope it works for you!

My touch screen doesn't work!!! I've never ever dropped it in water, it litterally has ZERO water damage. And allthough I've dropped it, it has never been through any serious accidents. But yesterday my...

Pull the battery and put it back. Best bet is if you're within buyers remorse period get it replaced if your device was purchased new you should have 1 year manufacturer warranty that will cover frozen screen as long as no water damage or noticeable physical damage.

Dropped PS3 wireless controller in a bucket of water, fished it out immediately and dried it off, allowed time to dry out but still won't work. Is it repairable or is it dustbin time?

Greetings Gprjohn,

Unfortunately, water sucks. =) Joking aside, there isn't a way to fix it. Since the water damage has destroyed all of the mechanics of your controller. Before you toss it, make sure all of the buttons don't work. If a button works, than there may be a way to replace the rest of the controller. Although this would most likely cost more than a new controller altogether. Thanks for using Fixya. =)

Try pressing the holding in the Fn button and pressing F9

This should disable the touchpad, if it doesn't then you will need to disable it in mouse properties in your control panel.

Dropped controller and water, controller works but

It probably messed up the control's power mechanism. Unfortunately you're probably lucky that it still works at all and I don't think you'll be able to do anything to improve the battery usage.
