Question about Panasonic Toughbook 50 Notebook
Monitor displays Red, green and blue colors while booting up, but after windows starts the display is fine. So when I try to do maintenance on this laptop, not able to use the display. Can get into setup and display is ok, and also in windows, but not when I boot from cd. Can someone please help me?
There are a few possibilities here... It sounds like a Graphics Card problem. It may well be an issue on a certain resolution mode. Try changing the modes in windows control panel to see if you can replicate the problem. If you cant then it will likely be the Bios that needs an upgrade (Flash)
There is also a small chance that the LCD Cable needs to be reseated. One other tip is to plug in an external monitor and then check to see if that happens on the external monitor. If it only happens on the LCD then there wont be an issue with the graphics card and then leans towards a LCD Screen or cable problem. More diagnostics at: www.powerjackrepair.com
