I installed the good old 12 O'clock high from TalonSoft on my new Vista based pc. It is functioning but all the fonts and letter sizes are wrong. It's a bit annoying since the game is more or less worksheet based and the letters in the collumns now interfere with each other. I have tried to start the game in several different screen resolutions but it makes no difference. Suggestions anyone?

I got talonsoft eastfront II to run on my windows 7 laptop by using two pieces of software. First I use vmware player and created a virtual machine with a winxp install. Second, I ripped the original game CD using alcohol. This creates an image that preserves the special formatting that is necessary because of the SafeDisc copy protection that is used in this talonsoft game. I mount this image using alcohol since my laptop does not have an optical drive. The vmware player sees the mounted image as a normal cd drive with the original game cd in it. I can install and play eastfront II in the win xp virtual machine. I installed the 1.02 patch. No other special settings were necessary. All features appear to work with this setup. The videos play, the unit viewer works (help files with transparency does not work in win 7 normally), background music and sfx are streamed off the virtual cd.
its not the peoblem with ur cricket game its a problem with your graphic card if u are using xp and have installed the drivers for vista this problem may come
so try reinstallingthe graphic driver fron the motherboard cd
make sure the game is compatible with vista and if it is older game made in 1995.then you might have to explore the cd and right click and properties.find the tab that says compatibility and click what ever year it was made in if you got all of the back up cd to your vista machine. you can put two operating systems on it and put xp on at the same time with vista.if you got a xp installation disk i can email directions on how to get two operating systems please email with any questions at email@example.com
