Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
There are a few solutions to this ill list em from least extreme to most extreme
1. Take a can of compressed air and gently blast some air inside of the CD door, there may be some dust on the reader lens.
2. make sure there arent any scratches on your CDs. a damaged CD will either not play at all or freeze up. when checking for scratches, check both the silver/blue/purple side and the side with the image on it. PS2 discs are notoriously fragile and if mistreated will break easily.
3. Take your playstation to someone who would be able to repair it, though it may or may not be costly, depending on how the repairman feels about the system.
4. finally buy yourself a new system this is the most extreme thing you can do about it, since now gamestops sell new PS2s and used PS2s for under $60
