Voice track not matching video track

I am trying to transfer home vhs videos to dvds using this equipment. However, I ran into a problem when I watched the final product. The video did not match the audio track...the people were talking but the words were not matching up after a point in the tape. I tried re-dubbing the tape but it happened again. I do think that there was a "tracking" message on the vhs tape at one point...maybe that had something to do with it jumping off track? I need help! This is supposed to be a Christmas present for the fam.

I called Samsung. I too am trying to complete this as a Christmas gift. Per Samsung, the issue is the type of disc. I am using dvd+r 1-16x. I was told to do dvd-r 8x. My other issue was that these discs aren't playing in other dvd players. Again, they said to use the dvd-r instead of +r.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can I transfer video tapes onto CD's

A lot depends on what type of video tape you use and where do you want to play the DVDs (CDs are for audio recording only). If tape is compact VHS then you can buy a simple DVD Recorder VHS VCR combo player and transfer across easily provided you have the compact VHS cassette module.

For other type of video camera tapes you will have to try other methods like connect camera with tape to a DVD recorder and directly burn the DVDs. You can buy attachments and software for PC but I have found these very cumbersome to work with.

The flying head is dirty. Open the unit and clean it with isopropylic alcohol or similar with a smooth cloth like the same used to glass clean.

How can I record home VHS videos to a DVD on my Samsung DVD-VR320 DVD Recorder/VCR?

BE CERTAIN OF THE KIND OF DVD DISKS IT SUPPORTS. My experience is that the kind of discs while you would think would not make a difference actually do make a big difference depending on the equipment you are using. I just transferred 15 vhs tapes to DVD and realized that the machine only took a few formats luckily it was the one I was using, but not all formats may be compatible. There is a difference between DVD+R and DVD-R as an example.

How do i go about transfering vhs-c video from an

You have several options. But important one to understand is the limitations of a PIII computer like Armada e500. You may not have enough grunt to convert stuff, even after buying the necessary video capture devices which work on USB.

Also I am assuming you either have the jvc camcorder still available or atleast have a VHS-C to VHS adapter to play the tapes on a standard VHS tape player.

Unless you are having a lot tapes and need editing while converting, your better bet might be to go to one of the shops that convert these tapes on to DVD or a suitable flash drive which might work out cheaper and quicker.

The last time I did this thing (quality of my VHS-C tapes was bad) I bought a Samsung combined VHS Video / DVD recorder and used the dubbing feature to burn DVDs. Cost me about $150 a year ago. I was able to do some editing on the way as I was connected to the TV screen as well. Saved me the hassles of dealling with the PC type video capture devices and software.

i hate being the bearer of bad news, but your unit is a dvd player only, not a dvd recorder. it cannot burn dvds, and so you cannot use it alone to transfer your home movies to dvd.

VHS code compatibility

The video standard in Japan is PAL while it is NTSC here in the USA. You should be able to locate a VCR than can play both. If you'd rather not purchase a new VCR, some locations that create DVDs from VHS tapes can usually also read PAL tapes.
